Mapathon
Join us in our volunteer mapping and experience a digital mapping marathon also know with the name of Maphaton. You will create maps useful for the development of the supported regions. Some of our Maphatons: post-flood support in Bangladesh, countering female genital mutilation in Tanzania, post-cyclone support in the Philippines and post-earthquake support in Turkey.

We activate partnerships with private companies to involve corporate employees in map volunteering. Both face-to-face and online, our Maphatons are a proposal for corporate team building activities.

We carry out voluntary mapping workshops in classrooms to convey values such as Education for Globalisation and Solidarity and raise awareness of the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Our Mapathons are an opportunity to improve students’ geographical and digital skills.

We bring our mapping volunteer experience to academic venues to engage students in our Mapathons. We offer a technical and scientific view of mapping activities with insights into the digital data used and the methods of geographical analysis.

substitutive punishment
In the judicial field, we design voluntary mapathons as a substitute for prison sentences as public benefit work. We offer our Mapathons under the approval of the courts and UEPE (External Criminal Execution Office) offices.
